Renewing Our Focus On People

On behalf of the board of London Health Sciences Foundation, I would like to thank our donors and volunteers for their outstanding commitment to London Health Sciences Centre.

Our Foundation's principal objective is to support clinical care, research and education at our Hospital. As a regional referral centre, LHSC cares for the most critically injured and medically complex patients in Southwestern Ontario and beyond. The discoveries and innovations pioneered at LHSC benefit patients here first, but ultimately help people world-wide.

In fact, our Hospital provides a scope and quality of care, research, training and education that significantly exceeds what might be expected for a region of similar size and diversity, and we want to keep it that way!

For the last 12 years, we have focused on fundraising for facilities. Going forward, we will renew our focus on people.

We will work with our Hospital to identify and prioritize fundraising initiatives that enable and sustain the outstanding and innovative work of researchers, physicians and staff. We will plan and evaluate our fundraising efforts through the eyes of our donors, providing what they need to be inspired supporters of LHSC. We will involve our volunteers to best utilize their passion, commitment and expertise. We will work with communities and charities across our region to encourage a culture of giving, for the benefit of all.

Most of all, we will continue to be trustworthy stewards of the donations we receive, ensuring they are put to work improving the lives of patients both in and beyond our Hospital.
