2012 - Gina Tomaszewski
We are pleased to announce Gina Tomaszewski as this year's recipient.
Gina exemplifies the four tenets of the Martha Curgin Inspiration Award - inspirational service, professionalism, integrity and teamwork - demonstrating wonderful examples of each in her daily work as a Regional Stroke Education Coordinator.
A consummate professional, Gina continually seeks feedback from the people to whom she provides learning products, using it for quality improvement. She is a highly credible resource and her expertise is in constant demand. In addition to organizing more than 30 workshops a year across Southwestern Ontario, she goes above and beyond to champion initiatives such as learning 'networks' for recreation therapists, social workers and speech language pathologists, who can learn from each other and improve life for stroke survivors.
Gina demonstrates passion for her work and inspires others by bringing excitement to the workplace. Often the first to volunteer to assist team members and the extended team in meeting deliverables and goals, Gina shows genuine caring and compassion, thinking of others' needs before her own. Gina clearly embraces the philosophy that any team's success is the responsibility of every member.
By achieving success with the same spirit that Martha espoused and exhibited, Gina Tomaszewski is indeed a worthy recipient of this prestigious Award.
The Martha Curgin Inspiration Award recognizes ordinary individuals - staff members, physicians, dentists, midwives or volunteers - who provide extraordinary service to London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC).
