At London Health Sciences Foundation (LHSF) our mission is to inspire investment in excellence at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC). We strive to do this within our core values of accountability, innovation, integrity, respect and service. Ultimately, our vision is to meet the needs of our Hospital and those it serves by revolutionizing the response of our communities to healthcare philanthropy. In doing so, we serve two important groups: patients and donors.

We support patients and their families at LHSC. The funds we raise enhance and advance the care available at our Hospital through initiatives which purchase advanced medical equipment, support vital and ground-breaking research that leads to the development of innovative treatments, provide ongoing education and advanced training to healthcare professionals and build modern facilities.

As a regional referral centre, LHSC cares for the most critically injured and medically complex patients in Southwestern Ontario and beyond. The discoveries and innovations pioneered at LHSC benefit patients here first, but ultimately help people world-wide as our Hospital shares these advances. We are committed to benefiting patients by keeping LHSC one of the leading teaching and research hospitals both here at home, and internationally.

We live in a province and a country where our governments fund a good level of healthcare. However, it is our donors who enable our doctors, nurses, researchers and other healthcare professionals to make that good healthcare great. And it is you, our donors, whom we also serve at LHSF.

We take the utmost care to steward your donations. We act as trustees on your behalf. We make sure your contributions have the maximum effect and are put to use in the manner that you intend. We also strive to keep our fundraising costs down by maximizing the use of volunteers and by constantly reviewing and evaluating Foundation operations.

We are committed to transparency through our Annual Report to our community - including audited financials, through reports and updates to you, our donors, and by maintaining our charitable accreditation with the Better Business Bureau.
