History
London Health Sciences Foundation was established in 1996 by the
amalgamation of the University and Victoria Hospital Foundations. London Health
Sciences Centre and Foundation’s logo is based on the partial double
helix DNA strand, reflects the human and scientific core of our
hospital’s mission in patient care, research and teaching excellence.
London Health Sciences Foundation is a non-profit, charitable
organization established to strengthen London Health Sciences Centre's ability
to provide health care of the highest quality to patients in Southwest Ontario
and beyond. The Foundation connects donors, health care consumers, the
community and health care experts — including physicians, allied
professionals, researchers, staff and educators — in pursuit of medical
excellence. We do this through a comprehensive, diverse menu of exciting fund
raising programs that provide opportunities for donors to touch the lives of
thousands.
London Health Sciences Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of 25 members from the community. With a dedicated staff of 49 people, the Foundation is strengthened by 350 individuals who volunteer their time and talent in support of the Foundation's mission. |
