Giving Tuesday 2023

DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT

Thanks to a generous matching gift from the Hardie Family Foundation, all Giving Tuesday donations to the Patient Assistance Fund will double in impact — up to $25,000!

Daily expenses like transportation, healthy meals and accommodations can quickly add up if you or someone you love is also undergoing treatment. Many patients in our community must choose between these everyday living expenses or the costs associated with treatment.

This Giving Tuesday, you can be the reason patients at London Health Sciences Centre receive the financial support they need, so they can focus on what’s most important — their health.

HELP FUND ESSENTIAL ITEMS LIKE:

  DONATE $35

For some patients, a trip to the hospital can be a challenge, especially if they don't have access to a vehicle. Sometimes, expenses like cab or bus fare are extra costs they simply cannot afford. For $35, you can help patients travel to and from the hospital for necessary treatments and appointments.

 DONATE $50

Daily expenses, like healthy food, can quickly add up if you're supporting someone undergoing treatment. For $50, you can help provide healthy, balanced meal options to a family while their loved one receives the care they need.

 DONATE $100

For the best care possible, some patients need to travel far from home, which can mean being separated from their families for lengthy periods of time. For $100, you can help keep a patient close to their loved ones while receiving the treatment they need.

DONATE $200

Patients who have undergone mastectomies can sometimes wait months before receiving reconstructive surgery. Some choose to forgo this surgery altogether. For $200, you can change a patient's life by providing a mastectomy bra or prosthesis while they heal or await reconstructive surgery.

 DONATE $500

A cancer diagnosis can be devastating. Coming to terms with the ensuing changes such as hair loss can take a toll, adding stress to an already challenging time. For $500, you can help patients with cancer invest in a wig or head covering while they undergo chemotherapy.
