When Heather Snell, an Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis sufferer and a champion of ALS research, lost her five year battle against the disease at the early age of 49, her family refused to give up on her mission of hope.
In a sweetly inspirational tribute, Heather's uncle, David Kelman, and his wife Marie hosted a unique fundraiser. Using elderberries labouriously harvested from Heather's property, the family baked pies and tarts, which they then sold to their church and surrounding community.…
Foundation staff supports community holiday efforts

On December 15, London Health Sciences Foundation President & CEO Dan Ross accompanied by Leadership Giving Development Officer Shawna Ferguson and Public Relations Manager Alex Peterson visited the Astral Media radio studios in London to drop off a big box of gifts to Toys for Tots.
The donations from the staff of LHSF were presented to AM 1290 CJBK radio host John Biggs, who then invited Ross on-air to chat about giving over the holidays. Dan's message was simply to please give what you can to the charity you would most like to support or with which you have a connection.…
