LONDON, Ont. - London Health Sciences Foundation (LHSF)
was the grateful recipient of a $1,200 donation from The Personal insurance
company in support of the highest-priority needs of our Hospital. The gift will
enhance patient care, education, research and equipment across our three
hospital sites.
Representing one of London Health Sciences Centre's (LHSC) many
corporate partners, Daniela Varriano, Manager of Account Development with The
Personal, delivered the cheque to LHSF staff last month.
Donations from the Foundation's corporate partners are of
significant importance to our Hospital and highlight one of the many ways
regional businesses can make an impact in the community.
"Gifts from our Hospital partners are important as they reflect
the respect and support they have grown to appreciate through their business
dealings with Hospital staff," says Janet Burton, Director, Annual Fund at LHSF.
"Business donations help make LHSC's vision of providing excellent healthcare a
reality."
The gift was the result of The Personal's ongoing fundraising
initiative, in which five dollars is contributed for every Hospital employee who
requests a quotation for automobile or home insurance.
