London, Ont. - For the second year in a row, the "Together
We Can" Employee Giving Campaign encouraged a collaborative approach and
experienced fantastic results, raising an incredible $178,434 for Children's
Health Foundation, London Health Sciences Foundation and the United Way of
London & Middlesex.
This year's results were unveiled to the media and to the three
charities at a news conference today.
Congratulations and a big thank you was given to the staff at
London Health Sciences Centre for their generous contributions and to the
employee committee for their outstanding effort by President and CEO Cliff
Nordal. Joining Cliff in their praise for the staff were Children's Health
Foundation President and CEO Debbie Comuzzi, London Health Sciences Foundation
President and CEO Dan Ross, and United Way of London and Middlesex CEO Andrew
Lockie.
Nordal, noted that the joint effort managed, once again, to
exceed pre-campaign totals by over 25 percent compared to two years ago when
all three charities were running independent campaigns.
