The First Episode Mood and Anxiety Program (FEMAP) is an innovative new program
developed by Psychiatrist and Rea Chair, Dr. Elizabeth Osuch. The program aims

youth aged 16 and up recognize if they have a depression, other mood or anxiety
problem, and learn how, when, and where to get help.
London Health Sciences Centre's Mental Health Care program
provides treatment from childhood to old age, with services ranging from early
intervention and prevention, to emergent, urgent and treatment-focused mental
health care.
The interdisciplinary care delivery model continually trains
physicians and all other mental health care professionals in an integrated
education model.
Research ranges from studies at the molecular level in the
laboratory, to the study of the brain through neuroimaging techniques, to
clinical research allowing health care professionals to evaluate treatments at
the bedside and in the community.
Upon completion of Victoria Hospital's North Tower, the adult and
child/adolescent Mental Health Care programs will move from South Street
Hospital, uniting all acute care services with emergency and medical/surgical
services. Neuropsychiatry facilities at University Hospital are also under
re-development.
