Medical Imaging Fast Fact

• London Health Sciences Centre's medical imaging department conducts 40 imaging procedures every hour, every day of the year
• There are 335 medical imaging staff, operating 230 medical devices, performing more than 354,000 imaging procedures each year

The Department of Medical Imaging is a respected source of excellent medical imaging services, teaching, and research. Services are provided to meet the needs of, and in consultation with, all hospital programs. Services ranging from prevention through screening to medical intervention assist individuals in their health care journey.

Renovations are currently underway for Medical Imaging services to move to Level Two in Victoria Hospital's North Tower including:

• Nuclear Medicine
• Dedicated mammography suite (including ultrasound and an additional digital mammography machine)
• Relocation of a procedure room
• Creation of an administrative/teaching/conference room
