Donations to London Health Sciences Foundation (LHSF) assist with replacing and upgrading state-of-the-art equipment, allowing our physicians, technicians and specialists to take advantage of the latest medical advancements to diagnose and treat illnesses as early as possible, as well as enhance even further the compassionate and high-quality care provided to our patients.
Recently, a new blanket warmer was installed in the stretcher bay at London Health Sciences Centre's London Regional Cancer Program (LRCP) and two more warmers are awaiting installation in the chemotherapy clinic. Warmed blankets help keep patients as comfortable as possible during chemotherapy treatments.
The warmers are the result of a gift from an anonymous donor, grateful for the compassionate care his wife received from LRCP staff. "The exceptional care and compassion extended every day to patients and their families has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. These warmers are provided as an acknowledgement to the caregivers that their devotion has been recognized by the family of a former patient," the donor wrote.
