2009 - Kim Gray
The 2009 recipient of the Martha Curgin Inspiration
Award was Kim Gray, a Social Worker at the Women's Program. Kim Gray
exemplifies the spirit of this Award. She continually rises to the challenge of
helping others cope with unexpected hardships and emotional upheavals, giving
unselfishly of her time to bring comfort to those in need. As she rises, she
has also demonstrated the ability to draw others with her.
In 25 years, she has become a trusted confidant and aide to many
patients and families, as well as a sounding board, touchstone and a
knowledgeable resource for her fellow workers. Her ability to buoy spirits in
clients and colleagues alike make her a most worthy recipient of this
recognition.

2008 - Danielle Scott
The
inaugural recipient of the Martha Curgin Inspiration Award was Danielle Scott,
a Radiation Therapist at London Regional Cancer Program (LRCP). Through her
commitment to patient care, new treatment techniques, training and a
multidisciplinary approach to healthcare, Danielle inspires colleagues and
patients alike, earning the respect and trust of many at LRCP.
Efficient, effective, accommodating, committed, a considerate
team member and team leader - Danielle Scott constantly goes above and beyond
to ensure only the best for every life she touches. Like Martha, she is an
inspiration to her colleagues and a most worthy recipient of this recognition.
