Ways to Give
Witnessing the Impact of Physician Giving for 30 Years

As the Site Chief of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery at Victoria Hospital, Dr. Guy DeRose is proud of everything his team has accomplished as one of the busiest vascular surgery centres in Canada.
In treating life- and limb-threatening diseases, Dr. DeRose and his colleagues are always looking for ways to reduce patient risk and increase survival rates - just like all the dedicated health care professionals at London Health Sciences Centre. One way Dr. DeRose believes in advancing the standard of care physicians provide for their patients is through philanthropic giving.
In January, Dr. DeRose will have been on staff at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) for 30 years. Having been at Victoria Hospital since he was a medical student, Dr. DeRose feels like he has grown up with the Hospital. Over the years, he has witnessed the pride that everyone at the Hospital takes in what they do and how hard everyone works to make it the best it can be. He has seen the impact of the dedication and expertise of his colleagues as well as the impact of their financial generosity.
In his experience, Dr. DeRose has seen donations made through London Health Sciences Foundation (LHSF) used to increase patient comfort, decrease mortality rates related to high-risk procedures, make therapies safer, upgrade technology and improve the quality of care for patients. Whether you direct your gift to enhanced patient care, innovative equipment, research or education in the program area of your choice, Dr. DeRose - who has been a donor to LHSF for the majority of his three decades at LHSC - knows that it does make an impact at our Hospital.
